The first one today is one I cannot get out of my head, Billy Idol - Dancing with Myself
The second, a little musical crush of mine by the name of Fyfe Dangerfield (The Guillemots). I love the band but am really falling in love with the tone of his voice. Taken from his new album “Fly Yellow Moon” is “Faster than the Setting Sun".
The next is the newest track from the fab Mystery Jets – ‘Flash A Hungry Smile", it gets in your head.
Ps - their version of Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis) is totally awesome, better than the Wombats’ cover.
And finally, one for the road, the lovely Christina who has been over the celebrity pages for seemingly wanting to be Lady Gaga, I think she is back to her awesome self, and who wouldn’t want to be Gaga?!
Btw, Christina is looking fierce, I am liking “Not Myself Tonight".
Back on track!

Part of the iPhone’s draw is the app stores and the boatloads of games available, timekillers to play when you have a spare five minutes. One such game Bejeweled 2 that you can play online on Facebook and on the iPhone has had me and a fair few friends hooked for a while now. You can’t explain it other than it’s lots of fun, you have to line up similarly coloured gems to make them disappear - the more gems you line up in a connection, the higher the score or magic gem you are awarded with. I mainly play the Blitz version of the game, which requires you to get the highest score you can in 1 minute. I know how addictive it can be, just one more game… In fact we were discussing it in the staffroom just theother day, as three of us are into the game. So it was funny to be browsing the internet and come across this article on Yahoo - Man beats Bejeweled.
Basically, Mike, a guy in California has just achieved the absolute highest score possible, his record took over 2000 hours to achieve, during which time he amassed 4.8 million gems and reached level 439 in the game. Mike’s game was 2,205 hours and 51 minutes long (about three months), played it over the course of three years. Three years to do this! That’s serious commitment, I wonder if he is single because that is one mightily peed off boyfriend or girlfriend. Imagine it, set the mood, candles lights out etc and the familiar glow of… the PC screen and the clunk clunk of the gems.
He scored 2,147,482,575, a score that Popcap founders debated would ever be reached. They said, “We deemed it impossible…and thus kept the cap at 2,147,482,575 knowing we were safe.”
Not banking on the power of competition and indeed addiction. I recently have been using the game on on my iPhone to relax before bed and when I can’t sleep and so have been teased by the Man and my family for it. This story makes me even more determined to do without at that time of night and to break my cycle of addition before I become some sorta gem geek too! So, here’s goes nothing 7 nights and counting!
Go get your game on… which games are you addicted to?

Vampire beach sweaters by Wildfox clothing that I saw on Ashley Tisdale on StealTheirStyle. You can get them all over the place - here in the UK at asos quite expensive at £110 but still smily and yummy! I love the coral one especially ![]()

So on Sunday my sister and I were meant to be going to go bluffing with our muffins down Sheffield to rock with Lady Gaga. *Wails at the injustice* It has been cancelled due to logistical problems. Husband reckons she couldn’t get her hair in the door, could be right. Either way am gutted, long time til June…
So I very stalkery went and tweeted her and… she didn’t even reply! I am shocked and saddened I mean it’s not like she has anything to do
Inspired by the Bloggess but not as wittily mad as Jenny, and also Laura’s campaign to be on TV
, I am going to attempt to get a message from the little monster herself
Wish me luck, I am a young adventurer with only flattery, wit and gumption to get me through this!
Just dance! xxx
Are you enough of a bad girl?
Are you the next big thing?
Are You an Oversharer or Mysterious?
Are you a fashionista?
Are you a skin care saint or sinner?
Are you a workaholic?
Surely we know these things? Obviously if you are indeed a workaholic you won’t be wasting time on Cosmo quizzes, or Cosmo for that matter? So why then have they got staying power? Because we all do them. I love tacky magazines and have currently got a 6 month free trial to Cosmo, can’t see it getting into my good books again (I think I’m too old for it honestly) but I am enjoying the world of problem pages, expensive clothes, made up quizzes gauging my personality and psychological make up and oh yeah, man of the month!
Best thing about some of these is that you can get all the tack plus some well used readers forums for free online! Result.
Here are my top 5 online women’s magazines (with tack galore!)
1. Handbag
2. Glamour
3. Cosmopolitan
4. Jezebel
5. Because I can, I love The Times’Women Section particularly the Style section!
A new find for me - Magnificent Me and an old fave (it’s a bit ancient looking now) - iVillage.
Do you have any to share/recommend?

Perusing the internet is something I’ve not had time to do recently until today and I thought I’d share some things I materialistically heart and covet ![]()

French Connection shoes courtesy of asos at £130 a little pricey for me at the moment!

Embellished Pom Pom Sundress - Price: £28.00 from Accessorize (picture belongs to them). I think their summer beach wear is enough to go on holiday for - yummy!

New South Beach Rocks - Oversized Satin Flower Headband from www.hqhair.com, only £5.95 - bargain! Unfortunately, it won’t let me link the site ![]()
Making me feel summery ![]()
Apologies for my weekly absence, apparently though your heart will be fonder! I am almost getting there regarding settling into a routine with my new job so hopefully it will settle down some time so I can take a breath and catch up. So. Very. Tired.
Anyhow enough moaning (as I am loving it) and here’s my musical Monday post - cue trumpets!
First, Tim Hawkins’ Kids Rock. Hilarious renditions of popular childrens’ songs by rock stars. Fabness, very cool and quite funny
made me and the hubby smile anway!
Second, Fran & Josh, saw these guys on the same line up at friend’s band’s gig last summer. They are amazing. Raw talent and yet polished.
Lastly, as I am pooped and falling to sleep.
Katie Melua, perfect. Thank you, stars. One of my favourites of hers.
G’night, God Bless! xxx

This proper perturbed me. Excellent English there! Just the picture on its own was bad but then reading about the storms and the starfish graveyard was a little strange. 10,000 of the buggers have popped it, hard to imagine such a huge number of them residing in the same area. Click on the link for the story summary on Yahoo. I had to share this as it had me thinking about the huge beach carpeted in a star pattern. So sci fi and Dr Who weird.
Interesting Facts about Starfish:
Starfish are also known as sea stars and are not really fish despite the name been given to them. These are echinoderms, which are found abundant in the deep blue seas and shallow waters as well.
