I have always wanted to be a published writer. I am here with blog as someone wise (my Man) always says, “if you want to be a writer then write", and I didn’t realise that yeah he’s right until I began writing here. It’s lovely to get your comments and to know that someone out is reading what I’ve written. So without a drumroll I announce that I am starting this again. I am using National Novel Writing Month - November - to start and finish a book that I have been thinking about for a couple of months now. A new story for a new me. I will keep you posted as I go along but I am determined to have a finished novel this year. Of course that’s only the start, re-edits will be needed but I am confident this concept is an interesting one ![]()
Come join me if you too are into writing as there are lots of like-minded peeps on there. I am Rahgoddess there too! Make me your writing buddy and together we’ll make our 1,700 words a day!

I have been working hard since last month on researching my family tree and it has been really interesting. My sister is also very curious about our ancestors and so it is something we have started doing together. I am enjoying it, it is difficult though to complete with only snippets of information but we are getting there. A lot of my Mum’s family are from Southern Ireland, near Cork and we manged to find some details for her aunt (her father’s sister).
Today my Mum and her sister rang her, they hadn’t spoken in so long due to my Nan uncomfortableness in relation to her Husband’s family. You see my Grandfather died when my Mum was only 12, and so my Nan was a young woman and she met someone new. I think being in touch with her dead husband’s family was hard for such a proud woman. She worried about what people thought and I imagine it troubled her greatly. Plus they lived in Ireland, and she, in Yorkshire. Distance, out of sight, out of mind. It was easier. But we’ll never know if that is true because my Nan died last year. Which is why we want to know more. My Mum does too. It is important to me as I felt like I was close to my Nan but never really knew her and that is weird. To me anyway ![]()
So the call made my Mum happy and it was nice to think we’ll get to know our relations in Ireland a little better, make up for time lost. I am not crossing this one off for a longggggg time I think, especially as it will take me and my sister ages to complete the research for both sides of the family. “Who do you think you are?” has a lot to answer for!

Hello cyberspace,
So I think this qualifies as a website and I am using it, will cross it off my to do list.
One down, ninety-nine to go ![]()
Yay xxxx
So I am currently an extremely comfortable size 14 - (US 12) but I am aiming for a UK 10 (US 8). The reason I am talking about this today is that I own many lovely dresses and would love to wear them over the party/Christmas season - we already have one function to go to and I am sure we’ll gather a few more invites before the year is through. Anyway, this is a goal that I feel is important to start tackling now.
So diet wise, I am relatively good, I have indulgent days and obviously enjoy the odd bar of chocolate or glass of wine. My issue is exercise, I get bored easily and need to keep challenging myself so I am going to mix it up a bit. My aim is to fit into this sixe 12/10 dress (bought it in Malaysia and it has no sizing on it - it is a gorgeous orangey batik chinese style frock. I fell in love with it and it was quite pricey. I am a spoiled lady, the husband bought it for me anyway! So I am determined to wear it. Here’s a little taster.

Am excited, bring it on!
Smiles today xxx

"'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
'I don't much care where --' said Alice.
'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
'--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation."
