Get in shape and lose weight *amended - make fitness fun!

5. Make fitness fun!
47. Take an unusual class

So it’s been a busy couple of weeks for me, professionally and physically. I took the first two weeks of January to recover from illness and various ails that I won’t go into now! So I felt in dire need of moving, stepping up and getting my fit on. Plus January is a lonnnnnnnnnnnng month (or certainly feels like it) so I talked my sister into extending our trips to the gym to actually trying some classes.

Success! I have never had so much fun at the gym, if you haven’t tried Zumba yet, you must do. I smiled the entire way through. Laughed at myself, laughed at the instructor who was so fun and cool, laughed at my sister. Plus as my sister said you work hard but you don’t realise you have until the end, the whole class atmosphere was party like. You may have guessed I loved it and have booked to go back next week! I am already looking forward to the release of the Zumba game on the PS3, it is move compatiable so I can zumba at home! Whoop, ps if anyone wants a reviewer for this, I am available :)

And this is an advert for the Zumba game :)

Looks awesome, I do love a spot of dancing, even if I have two left feet!

PS - WE also tried Aqua Fit, I’d always assumed it was a class for grannies, how wrong was I? Dear me foam weights may look amusing on dry land but under water = killer. Argh but also fun :)

Next week pilates, oh yeah, bring it on!
Love ya folks xxxx

5. Get in shape – be a comfortable size 10

So I am currently an extremely comfortable size 14 - (US 12) but I am aiming for a UK 10 (US 8). The reason I am talking about this today is that I own many lovely dresses and would love to wear them over the party/Christmas season - we already have one function to go to and I am sure we’ll gather a few more invites before the year is through. Anyway, this is a goal that I feel is important to start tackling now.

So diet wise, I am relatively good, I have indulgent days and obviously enjoy the odd bar of chocolate or glass of wine. My issue is exercise, I get bored easily and need to keep challenging myself so I am going to mix it up a bit. My aim is to fit into this sixe 12/10 dress (bought it in Malaysia and it has no sizing on it - it is a gorgeous orangey batik chinese style frock. I fell in love with it and it was quite pricey. I am a spoiled lady, the husband bought it for me anyway! So I am determined to wear it. Here’s a little taster.

Am excited, bring it on!

The Bucket List

"'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
'I don't much care where --' said Alice.
'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
'--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation."
